These cars have all kinds of luxury and style, and the pillarless 4-door allows everyone to enjoy the great outdoors while gliding down the highway.

472 cube V8s provided tons of power, I'd probably upgrade to a Hydroboost brake system and add an overdrive, then re-gear the rear to add a little snap without killing cruising velocity RPM. A self-tuning throttle body EFI system would make it reliable.

Dig the blue!

The black '72 is sharp.

These caddies remind me of watching any episode of The Streets of San Francisco. Totally love those sleds.

These early '70s Pontiac Grand Ams are super cool, too... put one of these on the list as well.

Here's another completely overlooked family of cars, the '67 - 1970 Ford Galaxie 500 XL fastback and GT cars. These offered a unique look with great lines, some very cool interiors, and powerful V8s. Best of all, today they can be had pretty cheaply. We'd love to do a restomod version in the shop on one of these cars.

Here's a nice photo collage, hopefully the guy with the guitar does not come with the car.

My buddy had a 67 XL ragtop and I had the 70 XL ragtop when we were in highschool. Got a picture around here somewhere but it needs to be scanned.

Here are some pics. If I can recall correctly it was about 1981, I was 18 my buddy was 16. We had a lot of fun in High School with these cars as not too many kids our age had wheels let alone rag tops. The 70 could smoke the tire pretty good if you wanted to. That was my last Ford adventure as my Dad was always a GM man and would rib me a bit for going over to the dark side. My buddy and his dad were Ford guys......but now he has a 87 Monte Carlo and a 96 Dodge Pace truck (that he drag races) and dreams of getting a 67 Ford Fairlane GT.
