Yeah Q - we've got lots of ideas brewin' on that one.    My current thoughts are to put some cool show / stops together along the way for people to hang out for a while, and cruise along if they'd like.   Kinda Power-Tour esque, but not an event just about itself, you know?

Congratulations on reaching your sunny destination!  I bet you learned a lot about what to expect during a road trip in an old car.  Lesson 1: always travel with someone who has smaller hands/arms than you.

I'm sure your dad will quickly gain confidence with those awesome Hydratech-powered disc brakes.

Here's some random thoughts form Amarillo, TX.

I'm sure the same environmentalists that complain about oil being dripped onto the ground also complain about the earth being paved over, and rightly so.  Most would agree that the world would be a better place with less pollution and fewer parking lots.

But, as one who loves to drive just for the thrill of it, and as one who tries to be environmentally responsible, I'm sure glad someone built the mountain passes and other twisty roads on this planet for me to enjoy.  Blasting your way through a mountain with dynamite and/or tunnel borer is also bad for the environment, but the result is so divine.  My basic philosophy is to leave the world as I found it, although I'd really like to leave the world better than I found it.  If only they could find a less toxic method of road paving...

I've made plenty of repairs in front of parts stores, too.  The most memorable was when I was at a Parts Plus and a rubber fuel line cracked above the thermostat housing on my GTO when I was originally there for something else altogether.  The engine was HOT, gasoline was vaporized, but luckily there was no fire, and it was a quick fix.  Fun times!

I'm hip to your groove.  Looking forward to it.  If there's anything I can do / research / scout for you in the Chicaoland area, let me know.  (630) 546-5837.  or email:  M.Clarke69@att.net

I don't think they'll be up for having the kickoff at their place, Matt!    I'm thinking Kelle and I will come out to AZ, grab the car, then head to LA for a few days and take care of some biz (beach!), then start the trip from there!

Hey Kev..
I just realized that March is only 2 months away..!..
(God..I am so sick of Winter..!..)
be sure to have a plan and time posted soon for your return..
I don't know if I have the money to get to Cali and back ..
but I could hook up somewhere out there..
if I can get my crazy buddy Brady to go..I'd have enough cash to do it all..LOL
