[13-Aug-2008] General Motors today released photos of the production version of its electric car, the Chevrolet Volt. The vehicle was first introduced at the North American International Auto Show in 2007 and is an important element of General Motors' plan to develop a full-range of gas-friendly to gas-free vehicles. Available video includes product shots and running footage of Chevrolet Volt and available stills include production shots.

Yeah there still is mistrust after GM shafted those who drove and wanted to purchase the EV1...we\\\'ll see how really committed they are in a few years.
As far as generating electricity why not increase the battery pack instead of using small engine powered generator? People want a true plug in instead of hybrids.

Take a look at the lightning car company from the UK this car will slay the volt!

The GTO is alive and well... we have lots more video and photos to post, so you\\\'ll want to keep checking the site for updates. Good luck with your LeMans!

As for the Volt, they claim it regenerates power on the road. We\\\'ll see how it works out!

Dear Kevin, I wonder why you couldn't use the axels to make electricity? I think you could wrap them in field coils and use them like big alternators making power as they spin down the road. What ever happened to the 66 gto project. I am restoring a 67 lemans and liked looking at what you were doing?
