I wanted a car that was fun to drive, had good mpg, fairly relible and was something a little diffrent. After a lot of searching I find a 86 SVO. The car was rust free, had 96k, and had eibach springs, K&N fillter, TC intercooler, 130 amp alt, MSD coil & wires, drilled and sloted rottors, MBC, and new koni's. We strick a deal and I had my new DD.
Spent the next few months fixing some wirring and drivrabilty issues. Along the way i pick up some nice upgrades for the car, 3" downpipe with a duel 2 1/2" catback, AFPR, BPV, short shifter, centerforce DF clutch and a set of 17" 95 cobra rims. With more waiting for time to install. And big plains for later on Grin
The car has been a good DD and I have had it to the track twice besting  a 14.6 at 92 so far Wink

here are some pics

I think your on to a great project there. I remember when these car came out and always thought they were a neat car. I looked into picking one up a few years ago but never pulled the trigger. Good luck and keep us posted .

The turbocharged SVO  mustangs are cool.  Looks like you find a great project car to fit your needs!

I was driving around yesterday and there was a very clean gray SVO sitting  in a small town not far from me. What are the odds?

Yeah, I saw a slick black on over the weekend.    Maybe just noticing them more now!
