Ok, I'm gonna give posting a video a try.
I actually finished this one a while ago, and had a friend post the vid on you tube.
Hope this works & doesn't bore anyone to death.  Sorry about the music- THAT was NOT my choice.

That's a great looking Cobra!     They say that the Factory Five cars are not very difficult to build... how would you rate the experience having gone through it yourself?

Thanks, Kevin.   I built my first FFR (Factory Five) back in 1997, and have also built cobra replicas from a number of other brands since then.
Some of them have been my own toys, but most have been built "to order" for friends and customers.

One big plus in my book to building one of these is,,,,,,,you are working with NEW frame and body parts, so there is no time/money spent on rust repair!

Another big plus is the "power to weight" ratio. The average finished car weighs around 2100-2300 pounds, so it is not necessary to build a gazillion horsepower engine to end up with a pretty quick car.  Since the overall vehicle weight is low, a 350hp engine can get you a very impressive ride, and you aren't stressing anything,,,,,so it will be reliable. (Reliability is a very important- often overlooked detail for a fun street car)

They do assemble very easily, especially if you build it "straight from the manual",,,,,but they are also very easy to modify, personalize and improve upon.
I have a list of modifications/improvements that I do to every one I build.
My mods make the car;
 handle better (I have a strong road racing SCCA background)
look more "correct" ( I like to make the cars as true to the original "look" as I can yet still perform well)
more comfortable(I spend a lot of time modifying the pedals and foot well areas for more room & comfort)

Overall, the Factory Five is the best "bang for the buck" replica out there, to me.
They are very flexible, and someone who wants to stress performance can easily build a high HP, total track car with all modern big brakes and equipment,,,,,,,,, or someone more into a fun street car can build a mild HP yet very fun car without breaking the bank.

Here's another little video we did with a mix of recent projects.
We did the video for my nephew who I took on as an apprentice when he was 17.
He worked for me for a few years, but has since moved on to other  things,
 as he somehow did not have the same passion/love (obsession) for cars that I do.
