Hi all, my name is Hamad and I'm from Qatar, I have two project cars, one is a big block 1971 Corvette which I just finished, and a 1970 Z28 Camaro which right now I'm working on, I've learned a lot from V8TV video clips on youtube, especially the welding how-tos, so thanks a lot V8TV crew!

The '71 Corvette is a stock, numbers matching big block car with a TH400, I restored it to its stock shape, except that I upgraded the motor to a higher compression and a Lunati camshaft, I think it may be around 425 HP now, I tested it on a 1/4 mile strip and it did 13.5@103MPH, which is quite good for a 40 years old car!

Here are a few pics of what I do :

Engine Rebuild :

Transmission Rebuild :

Nice work Hamad!    Those are both very cool cars.    I can only imagine how hard it must be to get parts in a timely manner in Qatar.   It looks like you are doing quality work with great attention to detail.     Please keep us posted on the progress of the Camaro, and welcome to the forum!
