My name is not really Romanoff, of course.   While attending college back in the early 90's I read a large number of Russian novels.  The early 90's is also when I first went on the net.  Having to choose a screen name I chose Romanoff, a variance of Romanov, as  a screen name. So, it is what is.

About myself,

I live in Alaska, Fairbanks to be precise.
I like making old things work better, but still look old.
I am a truck driver,  I have and do drive the ice roads.  Yes that show is a bunch of horse squeeze.
I am college educated.  I like driving a truck better.
My current project is a 1989 K1500.
My current project is a 1987 Jeep Grand Wagoner.
We seem to have a split personality. No we do not. Just shut up I am trying to type.
Really the 89 is me and my boys project. He is 9.
The 87 is all me, the wife and kids think it is ugly as home made sin. Other than cranking it's 360 is like flushing a high flow gas turbo toilet, it is a really fun rig.

Hey Romanoff, welcome to the boards!

Interesting condensed biography.   We have a couple members in Alaska.   Very cool.

Those Wagoneers are cool.. I just spied one a couple weeks ago, but it was probably an early '80s rig, but still looked good.     When I was a kid there was an orange Cherokee Chief in the neighborhood.. I think it was rusty from new, but a fun truck.      Post up some pics of your projects!
