Bill,

Your RTTH event kicked ass.   Lots of fun, great people, and the most important part - DOING STUFF WITH CARS!    That's what it's all about.

We'll be there, and at any other event you put on!

Thanks!

Man, you ain't seen nothing yet. We are working out the details for next's years event now. It will be a complete competition based on cruising, autocrossing, drag racing and even a touch of show and shine thrown in for good measure. The winner will be happy with the prizes and also have bragging rights for a whole year.
Pigeon Forge is a great place for the entire family to come and relax anyway, plus our event is the same weekend as the Fall Grand Run every year, so even the most seasoned car guy can be on car overload by the end of the weekend. I would love to see us double the size of the event next year.
Thanks again for your support and I will get some more Apple Cider for you next year.....hehe

Hey Lead -

Your car was one of the most impressive out there.   Sometimes when you see stuff you can't comprehend, your mind goes  Huh and it takes a while for it to make sense... this is what I felt watching your Imp on the Auto X!    Way cool!

Kevin - Oh, come on. The car is a pig. That was all driver, baby!!  Grin

Thanks for the kudos. I must admit that the shock value to those that haven't seen this land yacht in action is at least half the fun for me. The SSLED started off bone stock when I bought it a little over 5 years ago. It has been a work in progress ever since. It is a very fun car to drive right now.

Thannks again. And many thanks for coming out to the event!

You got a website SSled?   Or can you give me the recipe for that monster?    What was the biggest improvement?

Kevin - I do have a website, but I have not updated it in a long time. I really do need to take the time to do that soon. The website has not been updated with the biggest improvement of all - the new motor that I installed a year ago. It is an Ellwein Racing Engines 385 CID bored and stroked LT1 with Lloyd Elliot ported Trick Flow heads and Lloyd Elliott custom grind hydraulic roller cam. It makes about 530 HP and 550 Ft. Lbs at the crank - all NA.

Here is the URL: http://home.mindspring.com/~tkehne/

Most all other specs shown on the website (suspension, etc.) are current except for the latest tranny build and fastest times at the strip. It ran a 7.89 1/8th and a 12.38 1/4 last November on the motor with a 4350 lb. race weight (with driver). I haven't sprayed the new motor yet, but plan to in November at the Southern Super Heavy Shootout www.sshs7.com

I'd be happy to provide details of the engine and tranny build if you would like to see them, or anything else that you would like to know. But it will have to wait until next Tuesday. I'm getting ready to hit the rack for the night. I leave for Detroit at 6AM tomorrow to go run the "24 Hours of LeMons" race and will not get home until Monday night.

That's great!    Take lots of pics and post 'em here... start a new thread on the race when you come back.    Very cool.    I'll check out your site.    12.38 is moving for a big sled like that... all NA, too.    Cool.     Talk to you soon, good luck, be safe!
