My name is Bob Allen and I own and operate a performance engine shop in Springfield, MO alongside my nephew Jeremy Riley. We have been building and balancing engines since 1998 for everything from 5hp Briggs to Unlimited Pro-Mods and about a trillion small block Chevrolets in between. Our long overdue for updating website is
www.arwperformance.com. I also wanted to take the time to pass along the information for an event that we help with at our Church (see below). I hope anyone from the V*TV crowd that can make it will come on out and support the event and enjoy themselves in the meantime. Bring your families, your cars or trucks, and find me to tell me you saw this on the V8TV forum. Thank you Kevin and crew for making this a great site and resource for the racers and rodders out there.
Race Day Sunday - March 16th, 2008 Car Show for Racers & Rodders
Since 2003 West Division Street Baptist Church has been hosting Race Day Sunday. Race Day is a wonderful day of Sunday School and a unique Church Service that is "geared" toward the racing and rodding crowd. The day starts at 9:45 with Sunday school (infant to senior), then at 11:00 the Service begins and our guest David Martin opens the Bible in a way most have never experienced.
David Martin is a Race Track Chaplain with On Track Ministries and Indianapolis Raceway Ministries based in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. David comes out with his pictures, race flags, rich racing history, and stories that apply and relate to anyone that has raced, been a fan, or owned a car that they were proud of. It is a wonderful time. At the same time Junior Church (2nd - 8th grade) will have a special guest speaker all their own.
After service everyone adjourns to the parking lot to see all of the cars and enjoy some race track food freshly prepared that morning. The car show is open to everyone and any type of vehicle. We have had late model dirt cars, stock cars, pulling trucks, hot rods, go-karts, Jr. Dragsters, bracket racers, and even a bicycle or two. It is a chance to show off your hard work and be appreciated. BTW if you trailer your car/truck we do have parking for your tow rig. We also make sure that there are people watching the rigs and the cars/trucks while you are in the Church.
If you have any questions please call me, Bob Allen at 417-299-0057 or Pastor Bell at 417-862-8644. We appreciate you and are looking forward to a great turnout again this year!
