OK, so we just got a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 HD to tow our projects around.     Today I noticed some moisture in the driver wheel well that I traced to some sort of vent hose under the hood... any ideas what it is and why it's purging?

It's the front differential vent hose.    Mystery solved! Grin

Just wrap it in duct tape. Problem solved.
