ST. PAUL, MN (FEBRUARY 24, 2016) — Officials of QA1, a Lakeville, MN, company specializing in
manufacturing performance parts, announce that the company will sponsor the popular Autocross
feature event of the 2016 O’Reilly Auto Parts Street Machine Nationals. The annual horsepower holiday
returns to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds on July 15, 16 and 17, 2016, attracting over 7,000 highperformance
muscle cars, pro-touring cars and street machines from across the country, as well as over
50,000 spectators. QA1 also announces that they will host their 5th annual Open House and Cruise
leading up to the kickoff of the Street Machine Nationals on Friday, July 15 from 7:00am – 9:00am.
“We’re really excited to sponsor the Autocross this year,” said Dave Kass, QA1 Customer Service
Manager. “The Minnesota State Fairgrounds are right in our backyard — and so many of our core
customers attend the Street Machine Nationals every year. We try to make the course challenging and
fun, and we love seeing the variety of vehicles, especially ones that you don’t expect.”
Registered participants at the Street Machine Nationals can test the power, handling and braking of their
vehicles on the Autocross. The course features tight and twisting turns, braking zones and short
straightaways marked with cones. The object is to navigate the course as quickly as possible without
hitting cones or stopping outside set zones. Horsepower helps, but handling ability, brakes and driver
coordination are the keys to success. Trophies are awarded by QA1 for multiple categories of vehicles
ranging from Autocross-tuned specialists to souped-up grocery getters.
QA1’s open house and cruise offers registered participants an opportunity to enjoy some fellowship, a
terrific tour of the QA1 Lakeville facility and a group cruise to the Fairgrounds. Everyone is invited to
QA1’s facilities to gain an inside look at the daily operations, show off their cars, win great prizes and
spend the morning with other car enthusiasts. Participants will then cruise to the Minnesota State
Fairgrounds from QA1 (approximately 27 miles). Those who have pre-registered for the show and picked
up their registration packet early will have preferred entrance to the show as part of the QA1 cruise.

learning more about our company as a whole. It’s also fun to start the day with a smaller, more intimate
car show before cruising to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds for the Street Machine Nationals.”
The O’Reilly Auto Parts Street Machine Nationals, in addition to the QA1 Autocross, features a Dyno
Challenge, national media coverage, Burnout Contests, over 50 Pro-judged Show Car Awards, a Stop
