1966 Oldsmobile 442 4-Speed Convertible with Factory Air Conditioning and 3 2 Barrels Visits V8 Speed & Resto for Maintenance
1966 Oldsmobile 442 Convertibles are not that common these days, especially when they are equipped with the 3-two barrel carb engine and factory installed air conditioning! This one is even hotter with the triple-black color scheme and Hurst wheels. The list of options is long... factory headrests, console vacuum gauge, full instrumentation including tic-toc-tach, rear seatbelts with holders, passenger side vanity mirror, and of course, the 400-cube V8 topped with 3 two barrel carbs and a 4-speed transmission! It's a very cool car, and it came to the V8 Speed & Resto Shop for some maintenance and leak fixing so the owner can drive it and enjoy it trouble-free.

This 1966 Pontiac GTO came to the V8 Speed & Resto Shop looking for some mechanical fixes for improved performance. The V8 team will be performing some engine work and Dakota Digital Gauges among a few other fixes.

This cool 1967 Dodge Dart GT convertible is powered by a 225 slant six engine, but that does not make it any less fun to drive! It came to the V8 Speed and Resto Shop for a quick muffler replacement, but we enjoyed our day with the car.

According to the numbers, there were only 38 of these first generation 1967 Excalibur roadsters built, and the V8 Speed & Resto Shop crew just finished a freshening on a very cool maroon version for a great customer. The car is powered by a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette 327 and is hooked to a Borg-Warner 3-speed automatic transmission, and features functional side exiting pipes and dual exhaust. The chassis is basically a stretched 1964 Studebaker Lark, with front disc brakes and a third headlight that turns with the steering wheel, like a Tucker Torpedo. Inside, you'll find an engine-turned dash with Stewart Warner gauges and an original Motorola radio. This car is showing just over 19,000 miles on the odometer, and had not run in years before being delivered to the V8 Speed & Resto Shop for a tune-up and some new wide whitewalls from Diamond Back Classics.
