Edelbrock is excited to begin shipping the highly anticipated E-Force Supercharger system for the C7 Corvette Stingray. The all-new design increases the stock 6.2L LT1 (Gen 5) engine up to an impressive 624 flywheel horsepower and 600 ft-lbs. of torque.

This supercharger incorporates the Eaton® Gen VI 2300 Twin Vortices Series (TVS) rotor assembly, as well as an air to water twin intercooler system and dual core heat exchanger. Performance has been optimized through a unique runner design and an integrated bypass valve that helps reduce parasitic loss under light throttle, which improves gas mileage potential. All of this technology fits under the stock hood without modification to the hood, hood liner or cowl.

Edelbrock Performer RPM cylinder heads for 455 c.i.d. Pontiac engines are now available with a CNC machined chamber.

Performer RPM CNC cylinder heads have the same specifications as Edelbrock's Performer RPM cylinder heads for 1962-79 455 c.i.d. Pontiac engines, but feature a revised CNC machined combustion chamber design with an all-new spark plug location for improved performance. Performer RPM CNC cylinder heads are available in two chamber sizes. The 87cc chamber version is ideal for 9.5:1 engines and will deliver excellent street performance on low octane fuel. Performer RPM CNC cylinder heads with 72cc chambers are best for higher compression engines. Both are patterned after the same port flange configuration as the 1969-1970 Ram Air IV Pontiac cylinder head.

HydroboostWe install high performance braking systems on all the cars we build in the V8 Speed & Resto Shop one element that really makes a difference in braking performance is a hydraulic brake assist unit, more commonly known a a Hydroboost system.

A vacuum booster is used on most typical power brake systems, and they generally work OK to use engine vacuum to assist the driver in depressing the brake pedal, making the brakes easier to apply. However, factors such as long-duration camshafts with low-vacuum generating characteristics and minimal underhood clearance with large engines limit the vacuum booster's effectiveness.

A Hydroboost unit relies on hydraulic pressure generated by the vehicle's power steering pump to apply tremendously increased brake pressure without relying on engine vacuum. A vacuum booster can generate 7-800 lbs of brake system pressure at the calipers, while a Hydroboost unit can generate over 2000 psi with the same amount of pedal input from the driver. The difference is staggering. In addition, the Hydroboost units are smaller in diameter, so they package easier in engine bays with tight clearance.
